What if you woke up one day and found yourself on a planet dominated by pollution and climate change? Its water dried up, its atmosphere was polluted, and microbes evolved into powerful organisms that dominate the planet? This was the topic of the theatrical performance presented by my students in the city of Sidi Ifni.
The show is called “Garden Door” where young children playing in a garden, coincidentally find a secret door. Their curiosity leads them to break into it, and they find themselves in the future…the future of planet Earth, in light of the neglect of the importance of preserving it.
The city of Sidi Ifni is located in southern Morocco, and its youth and children suffer from access to cultural services due to the lack of infrastructure and qualified frameworks.
